Eric Evans (1955-1991) was educated at Tiffin School and St. Catharine's College Cambridge where he studied modern languages. He was awarded a blue at football. He went on to work at E D and F Man, the commodities group, where he led a varied and successful career in the sugar division.

Eric was a high achiever and passionate about sport, as well as being a loving husband to his wife Olwen and devoted father to his daughters Amelia and Alice and a loyal friend to many. Sadly he died in 1991.

The Trust was set up by his friends and family in his memory with a view to promoting sport and activities for all, in particular the underprivileged.

This year

The Eric Evans Memorial Trust Sports Charitable Appeal, 2010 is designed to enable you to spread your charitable giving between some great projects in a simple and cost-effective way.
